We believe physicians in their first postgraduate year should have a broad, well-rounded foundation to build upon. Our fully accredited programs offer a wide range of clinical experiences, a diverse population, sophisticated technology and an no-go sense to maximize the resident physician’s skill and knowledge base. IMPORTANT NOTICE TO PROSPECTIVE OSTEOPATHIC RESIDENTS INCLUDING TRI (TRADITIONAL ROTATING INTERNSHIP) APPLICANTS: The ACGME has issued a proposed transpiration to the worldwide program requirements, which may go into effect on July 1, 2016. The proposed language is: All prerequisite post-graduate clinical education required for entry into ACGME-accredited residency programs must be completed in ACGME-accredited residency programs, ACGME International-accredited residency programs, or Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (RCPSC)-accredited residency programs located in Canada. All applicants should think thoughtfully well-nigh this requirement and its effect on prerequisite training, and your future training plans. The ResidencyWitsNassau University Medical Center’s training environment provides first-hand wits for our trainees, permitting residents to superintendency for a diverse patient population with a myriad of disease states. Daily contact with full-time peekaboo physicians gives residents the opportunity to learn from a highly-experienced staff of top medical professionals. The strong clinical wits at NUMC is complemented by a well-structured didactic lecture series that includes lectures from visiting professors and other professionals.
